About Your Instructors:
CAYLEN WOJCIK
Caylen began his professional journey as a rifleman in the US Marine Corps, where he served as a Scout/Sniper and instructor. He trained Marines, soldiers, and Navy operatives in marksmanship and urban combat tactics.
After sustaining severe injuries in 2004, Caylen passed his experience to new snipers before leaving active duty. Since then, he has taught precision rifle skills to military, law enforcement, and civilians. Caylen helped develop Magpul’s Precision Rifle program, training hundreds of snipers. Now residing in the Pacific Northwest, he enjoys backcountry hunting, competing, and adventuring with his family.
PHILLIP VELAYO
Phillip served 10 years as a Marine Corps Scout Sniper, completing 4 overseas deployments. He held key leadership roles and formal training appointments.
In 2016, Phillip was nominated for Scout Sniper Instructor of the Year for advancing marksmanship training. After exiting the Marines in 2018, Phillip served as Lead Instructor at Gunwerks Long Range University for two years. He co-founded Modern Day Sniper and instructs precision rifle shooting. Nationally ranked in major competitions, Phillip won the 2018 Precision Rifle Series Finale.
